Do Your Part: Bold, Sustainable Leadership for Social Impact Leaders in a Time of Polycrisis

I wrote a book!

If you lie awake at night asking yourself "Am I doing this right? Am I making enough of a difference? How can I possibly keep this up?" this is for you.

Do Your Part: Bold, Sustainable Leadership for Social Impact Leaders in a Time of Polycrisis publishes June 15th.

I wrote it for a past version of myself. I had put myself out there in some big ways, was stretched well beyond my capacity, and felt deeply responsible for people I loved and cared about. I couldn't see another way forward because I believed that hard things are worth doing, and I saw myself as someone who meets the moment and fights for justice. The only option I could see was to keep going. I kept looking for resources that might help, and I couldn't find anything that quite matched my situation.

So I wrote it myself.

Do Your Part offers both understanding and action. You will find specific frameworks you can use right away, alongside deeper work on the belief systems keeping you stuck. The frameworks, case studies, and client voices in the book come from years of my own learning, as well as from the leaders I have had the honor of working alongside.

You will learn:

  • Why the standard advice around boundaries, self-care, and time management haven’t worked for you

  • How the systems you live and work inside are designed to keep you running on empty, and how to stop taking that so personally

  • How to reframe beliefs about leadership, responsibility, and your own worth that are keeping you from being brave and bold

  • Concrete practices for regulating your nervous system, delegating, setting goals, and building a supportive community that will actually make a difference in your daily life

  • What becomes possible, for you, your team, and your work, when you lead from a place of groundedness instead of depletion

We all deserve a version of leadership that honors our values, our vision for a just world, and also our humanity. This is my offering of a path to get there.

My hope is that it helps you feel less alone and to see a way forward.

Over the next several weeks I will be sharing excerpts, early reader responses, and details on how to order. More soon.
